A Prayer for the Twentieth Day of Easter

20.JPG

Resurrection and the life,

Sometimes I get bogged down in the mud and muck.  At times, my proverbial wheels spin at a rapid rate without moving me forward.  At other times, I don't have the energy for wheels to spin at all. Settle my spirit so that I might stop the frantic scramble to get nowhere.  Let me breathe deeply of your love and presence. Strengthen me in your compassion, grace, and forgiveness so that I might journey onward with renewed purpose.   Give me the wisdom that receives even the mud and muck as an opportunity for growth as your Easter child.

Through Christ, Amen.
