A Prayer for the Twenty Fourth Day of Easter

Resurrection and the life,

It is hard amid criticism to remain your child.  I want to shout, scream, and defend against the judgments of others that don’t align with my own sense of truth and reality.  When this happens, it feels like I’m in the tomb once again – a place of darkness and death. Resurrect my heart and perspective so that I may learn what others teach.  More importantly, let my identity and sense of person rest in you alone so that I might be strengthened to stand firm in your love above all things. No matter the situation, let me rest in the sure and certain hope of your presence.

Through Christ, Amen.
